Mary Pugh was the second (or third) wife of Jacob Nighman. She was born in Tennessee, and moved to Alabama with Jacob and family in 1831. She died in Cedar Creek, Floyd County, Georgia, and is buried at the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The tombstone inscription reads: “Mary Neyman, died Nov 27, 1866, Age 72 years, Was a member of the Baptist Church for over 50 years. Died in the triumph by living faith." The age on the tombstone gives a birth year of 1794.
